Nairobi, Kenya – 16 February 2026. Dr. Hassan Kinyua Omari, Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy & Religious Studies at the University of Nairobi held a strategic consultative meeting with the Ministry of Education, State Department for Higher Education.
The meeting was held at the Office of the Deputy Director of Education, State Department for Higher Education, Telposta Towers, 26th Floor, Room 2606, Nairobi. Dr. Kinyua, accompanied by Mr. Andrew Mwendwa, General Manager of KIFLAPS, was received by Ms. Rose Wanjiku Ndegwa, Deputy Director of Education.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between training institutions and the Ministry in matters relating to higher education standards, regulatory alignment, quality assurance, and competence-based professional programming. Dr. Kinyua emphasized the importance of aligning institutional curricula with national higher education policy frameworks to enhance academic excellence, workforce readiness, and sustainable professional development.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Kenya’s higher education ecosystem through structured institutional partnerships, innovation in professional training, and continuous engagement with policy stakeholders. The consultative meeting reflects his broader leadership in academic scholarship, institutional governance, and professional capacity building within Kenya’s higher education sector.
