The goal wasn't just to talk about our differences, but to focus on the shared pillars that can hold up our society: justice and dignity from both Islamic and Christian perspectives.

 Dr. Jacinta Maweu from the University of Nairobi’s Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies recently joined leading global Africanists in Prague for the prestigious 10th European Conference on African Studies (ECAS 2025). The major international conference ran from June 25th to 28th, 2025, operating under the central theme: “African, Afropean, Afropolitan.”

Hosted by the relaxed and culturally rich venues of Prague, ECAS 2025 served as a critical platform for transdisciplinary dialogue on African affairs, political economies, cultures, and global relationships.
